Safety? For us, it's a given!

To ensure your life jacket functions reliably at all times, maintenance every two years is essential. Due to material aging and potential wear, the lifespan is limited to 10 years. However, this period can be extended after a thorough inspection by our experts. Regular maintenance and service by Marinepool professionals are key requirements for this extension.

MAINTENANCE DIRECTLY WITH US

The regular maintenance of your life jacket is documented with the MARINEPOOL service sticker, which – similar to a car inspection – displays the month and year of the next service. During the system check, our specialists carefully examine the air-tightness of the buoyancy chamber and ensure the flawless operation of the fully automatic inflation system.

For United Moulders or Halkey Robert Systems:

After 2 years: €36.90 incl. 19% VAT
(Includes trigger/clip and free return shipping)

For Hammar Systems:

a) Small maintenance after 2.5 years: €32.90 incl. 19% VAT plus materials, without replacement of the inflator, includes free return shipping
b) Large maintenance after 5 years: €49.90 incl. 19% VAT plus materials, with replacement of the inflator, includes free return shipping
CO2 cylinders, Solas lamps, and additional repairs will be charged separately.

Discount for emergency services:
DRK, DLRG, THW, and fire departments receive a 15% discount on the basic maintenance price.

All prices include 19% VAT.

We only inspect automatic life jackets marked with Marinepool or Lade ISC International OÜ on the manufacturer's label.

If maintenance or repairs are not carried out, the technician's time for the estimate will be charged as a flat fee of €25.95.

Upgrades and Repairs

The conversion from manual release to automatic, the installation of a spray hood or strobe lights on all Premium and Pro models, as well as the resolution of inspection issues, are all possible with us. We also offer the replacement of the protective cover or buoyancy chamber of your life jackets and buoyancy aids.

It's that simple

  1. Fill out the maintenance form.
  2. Send us your life jacket or drop it off at Marinestore2000.
  3. We will carry out the maintenance of your life jacket (duration: 3–14 business days, depending on the season).
  4. We will return the jacket to you, or you can pick it up at the store.

Repair of Sailing Clothing

Small tears? No problem! We make your sailing clothing waterproof again and bring drysuits back to top condition with new rubber cuffs. This way, we contribute to sustainability through longevity and ensure that your gear is ready for new adventures. The cost is calculated based on time spent.

Repair service for dry suits and sailing gear

In our service department, we can repair short-term cracks in your sailing gear, so that the clothing is waterproof again. The calculation is based on time expenditure.

We also repair your drysuits and – if necessary – also attach new rubber boots.

Service for lifejackets

Safety is the most important point, so the regular inspection of the relevant equipment is essential. The natural aging process can affect the properties of the fabric material and also the function of the automatic inflation system is not immune to possible adverse effects (including operating errors). That means, the lifetime of a lifejacket is necessarily limited. The timeframe for this is set at 10 years. Prerequisite for this lifetime is the minimum of two-yearly inspection of the lifejacket by the Marinepool specialists. 

Security service badge

Regular maintenance is documented by the Marinepool service badge, which signals the next maintenance month and year, similar to a car (in Germany).

The regular system check by the skilled person includes checking the float for air impermeability as well as the meticulous function control of the fully automatic inflation system.

The awarding of the new Marinepool service badge seals the functional safety of the rescue device, as it were, and always reminds us of the date of the next inspection, clearly visible from the outside.
